Intersections at the Heights
Indigenous was set up to promote slow-fashion with unique, curated capsule collections that replenish a few times per season.
Our first collection comes from The Valley of Kashmir, set in and amongst the heights of the Himalayas, in the India subcontinent.
The shawls in the collection are different from each other and yet imbued with a certain spirit.
We call them Light, Black and Multi-colour to refect the feeling of the design to the wearer, the visual aethetic.
The hand and feel of the shawls are also differentiated from each other within and without. We included pashmina (fine cashmere) for its luxurious and fine feel, ruffel wool (medium texture cashmere) for its versatility and everyday versatility, Some are embroidered and others shine without this, in their beauty and simplicity.
All of these items are hand-woven and hand-embroidered.
